Our Transportation Services Boldly Go Where Others Services Don’t
There are two unique areas where we seek to fill the services gap:
1) Urgent Travel Assistance Service for blind public transportation passengers who find themselves stranded by failed technology or imperfect human service. Imagine boarding a bus only to find that the audio recording of the stops are malfunctioning. The bus is packed and the driver over stressed- he realizes he hasn’t called your stop several stops later. What do you do? This service provides immediate intervention through telephone in-person assistance. Subsidized transportation (taxi or ride-share) is also available for routes not served by any other means.
2) Accessible Public Transportation Schedules. Typically bus, train and other public transportation schedules are provided only in PDF versions. We seek to provide Braille, recorded, large-print and/or electronically formatted schedules and timetables.
